New Chuuk Branch Office Opens

On October 31, 2006, the formal opening for a new office place for the Social Security Chuuk Branch took place. Due to adverse power conditions on the island of Chuuk, the administration deemed it necessary to find another place that would provide better power services. Kurassa Hotel was able to provide the administration with an office space that would provide continuous power during work hours.
A week earlier, a training had been conducted for the Chuuk Branch staff on the new database system that was recently installed for all the offices of the FSMSSA. The new software comes with a more powerful array of tools

that will allow the FSMSSA to more efficiently enter and track data, manage claims and benefits, and generate improved statistics.
