Dadao Eliam

Not many people can boast to know the FSM Social Security System like the back of their hands. Dadao Eliam is one of those few people. To his credit, he has been a social security employee for more than 30 years from the time of the Trust Territory Social Security System, through the transition period, and from when the FSM Social Security Administration was established to February of this year. During this vast expanse of time, Mr. Eliam constantly demonstrated the traits of an outstanding employee and a diligent leader.
On July 22, 1973, Mr. Eliam was hired as Social Security Representative for the Trust Territory Social Security System. He became the manager for Ponape Branch Office when it was established in 1979. He continued to be manager for this office for the duration of the Trust Territory to its dissolution and into the establishment of the FSM Social Security System in 1988. In 1990, Eliam was transferred to Headquarters to head up the Claim Division as Claim Officer. He later became the Manager for Pohnpei Branch in 2002. In 2003, Eliam would yet again become the Claim Officer at Headquarters.
Due to illness, Mr. Eliam reluctantly resigned from the FSM Social Security Administration in February of 2004.
He has made friends during his time at the FSMSSA and those friends will forever be grateful for having the honor of working with him. The FSM Social Security Administration, its staff, and board bid a fond farewell to Mr. Eliam and wish the best for what the future has in store for him.
