COM instructor commits suicide

According to a staff of the Pohnpei State Hospital, David Megaw's body was brought to the hospital on April 20, 2005 and remained in the hospital's morgue at press time.

Megaw is believed to have committed suicide at his apartment located at Pahnasang Heights, although no autopsy report has been made available.

Megaw was working as an instructor for the College of Micronesia-FSM's Language and Literature Division. He was originally from England and had been working for the college since January 2004 according to Jean Thoulag, Acting Vice President for Instructional Affairs, COM-FSM.

A funeral ceremony was held in his honor at the COM-FSM Gym on the afternoon of Monday April 25 for students, staffs and friends to pay their respects to the late David Megaw.
